Halves

IMPORTANT!

It takes two orders to harvest a steer. Once your order is placed, we will contact you with a tentative delivery date. Halves typically take 3-12 weeks to process. Sharing with friends and family is a great way to save money and reduce processing time. The $200 deposit is non-refundable. We accept cash or check at delivery for the remaining balance. Your total price will be based on finished weight, which is determined after processing.

A "Half" is 50% of a steer.  Purchasing a half is a great way to stock your freezer for months with a variety of cuts from the steer.  

Halves are $7.25/lb for Grass-fed beef and $5.99/lb for Grain-fed beef for a finished weight averaging 270-290 pounds of actual take-home beef.  This price includes processing. 

Cuts you will have in your quarter: Sirloin steak, T-bones, Club steak (or Ribeye bone-in), Round steak, Flank steak, Skirt steak, Sirloin tip, Rump roast, Arm roast, Pike's Peak roast, Shoulder roast (Chuck roast), Brisket, Ground beef, Liver, Bones (Please indicate if you want more bones beyond soup bones with marrow or organs other than liver.)

With a half you can expect approximately: 50 pounds of steaks, 50 pounds of roasts, 80 pounds of ground beef, and a variety of bones and liver

Please note: The packaging is often labeled not for resale depending upon the processor used. All cuts are frozen. Steaks are packaged two per a pack. Ground beef is packaged in one-pound bags.

With custom orders, there is no extra charge to grind cuts into ground beef. The starting minimum order is a half.
