The Sirloin Steak is a large steak. If one does not fit into an iron skillet, I cut it into two separate steaks and use two skillets.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- When oven is hot, turn your stove eye on high and sear the steaks on both sides. Sprinkle kosher salt on both sides (We only use salt for seasoning in this recipe).
- Once steaks are nicely seared, put them in the oven for 10-20 minutes depending upon how you like your steak prepared. Take the steak out and flip it with tongs (as a fork will drain more liquid and tongues help preserve the steak’s tenderness).
